Thanks for checking out my blog. I should be doing even more with it I've really slacked off because I'm doing so much with Under30CEO so my blog has taken a backseat but I'm keeping up the best I can.

Yea getting off ning is big just because I want full control. Ning is a great starting platform but I think if you really want to expand something and attract serious attention to your project you have to build your own platform.

I'm launching Under30CEO.tv in the next couple days. It's a video blog that reviews other blog posts. Each episode is our review and opinion of 2-4 blog posts we found interesting. The idea being come to our blog and get some links to great material. Goes along with the idea of trying to get college kids to start learning and getting involved with this stuff asap. Instead of trying to follow 100blogs just follow ours and get some great links to go get your feet wet.

Thatd be awesome to start an idea generator right here. I'm still looking to the future with mindfrenzy and as for my site well it may never come back. Only reason being that I think it could be integrated with the Under30CEO platform, instead of trying to run 2 separate things just bring them together.

Great to hear from you and good luck with your site!

I read your blog posts on Your show and the Under30CEO launch. Sounds great! You are really doing a nice job of putting it together. The writing is professional and to the point, but also simple and sympathetic. Nice!

Consequently, I'm also redoing my main website off Area Light. I'm about 30% through one tier. It's crazy time consuming, but I'm hoping I can establish a durable framework to build on by doing it right the first time..or second lol. I like the look of mindFrenzy on Ning. I'm actually kind of dissappointed to see you moving it off. However, it's the same for my own website. I want complete control over everything to the detail.

Just to note, I have it in mind to create a production company out of my business. So having my own show and supporting others to do the same is right up my alley. It's also becoming easier than ever with multimedia apps, blogtalkradio etc. So good on you.

Maybe i'm going through mindfrenzy withdrawals but I still think the concept was great. In fact, I would like to have a similar brainstorming group here for Ning social network ideas. For one, a lot of people won't even think to create their own but it is such prime internet real estate and can do so much for an online social presence. Other people jump into creating their social network prematurely, and I'm sure I could share some expert insights to help them either way.

On one simple level, Area Light is designed to turn people on to Ning, familiarize them with using the platform, walking them through creating their own, serving their interests as a hub for network creators, and in the long stretch having premium services available to help them take their netwiorks to enterprise levels. If it doesn't contradict with you, I'd like to work this network idea generator/ feedback loop right here out of this Mind Frenzy group.

What do you think?

Hey, SUP is the self coined abbreviation for Sta.rtUp.Biz.

Carving out your niche is so important these days. Defining your product or service to cater to the exclusive interests of your target market is becoming increasingly effective. That in contrast with the catch all/ more broadcast marketing of conventions at large. Divide and conquer! I do this with almost all of my personal business projects. Area Light was something I decided to change patter on so I could have something for everybody. Consider it a diversified strategy.

Too bad about the current state of MindFrenzy. However, the cool thing about ideas is they can go on, return, or change form as needed. I'd be kind of interested to see what you could do with the application extended in a Ning environment. If you're not into creating your own, then we have this group and Area Light to play around with. You know I'm a big supporter. The blog is pretty sharp though. So good to see that placemat the app.

The principle behind MindFrenzy is still hot in my view. I was just noting Yahoo's recent mention of rated search on businesses. I guess they've got the screenshots and some kind of qualitative reasoning built into their new system that they hope will compete with Google SEO and user interface criticisms.

Best,

Anthony

Anthony what is SUP?

Our site is not strict on the age we just focus on college campuses thus under30 makes up about %95 of the site.

Also some very bad news. I am shutting down mindfrenzy for awhile. Some odd problems where data keeps getting lost. So for now the whole site will just be the blog that was attached to the main site.

SUP has an under 30 entrepreneur group. They made a big deal on the age so I bailed cause I'm over the hill!

In my view, every individual is a business. I believe that view will become increasingly mainstream over time. When it comes down to it, <30 will be competing with >30 and quite funny when those go over the hill too! There is a lot of experience they can benefit from. At the same time, all this over 30 phenomena is perhaps inflating the excitement of social networking. You probably get a better bead on what's next from the younger gen who are already burning out and sensitized to all the various ameteur spam angles out there.

Check out some of my converations with Pierre here. He's been on Ning longer than I and has already learned some tough lessons- developed some perspectives on what works and what direction is implied. There's a science to self-organizing social phenomena. However, the rules are still being written as we speak...and will likely be contiuously evolving in versions as fast as the next hot app. What we can do is decide what we want to do and how. It may seem counter-intuitive but trying to predict based on conventional common-sense is probably not going to give you any greater competitive edge. It's just as possible basing what you present and how on your own preferences will get you closer to the mindset of the people you want to interact with anyway.

Thanks Anthony

So 1 reason for the networking series was I am actually involved in a network start-up Under30CEO.com. Its a ning network for now but we will be moving off to our own platform in the near future.

It's for young entrepreneurs and I can't believe how many people don't get social networking! All they know are things like facebook and how to upload their pics from the weekend. When you try and put them in an environment with a cause or purpose online they shy away. It's really interesting to see.

I had some fun getting down a new idea on MindFrenzy again. This idea is for an upcoming technology I'm not so sure people are thinking of using this way yet. I actually think it's an actionable project.

By the way, I love your new blog page and the social networking series is a great addition.

Hey Jared, just wanted to let you know I had a spontanious idea and was glad I could get it down on mindfrenzy while it was still sharp in my mind. I've noticed a few ads for sites that offer angles on getting ideas down and rating them. I'll probably explore them to see what they are about and bring the discussion to you here. I bet we could do better if we put our heads to it. I've got some ideas about mindfrenzy itself. So perhaps this social networking group could be a neat enhancement to your concept. Maybe you might even create your own Ning around the concept.
