A lot of people think the idea of American Soccer being a main stream sport in this country is laughable. I think it all depends on events and characters. For example, if the U.S. had a Michael Jorda…

Living in Cigar Box Nation

Spam has an unusually long shelf life, is the world’s favorite meat in a can and serves as a delectable ingredient for sushi in Hawaii. Its cans, however, can serve their own purpose. We’ve written before about the case for simplicity in thinking about and designing a Ning Network. Nascent Dynamics ( )

Hi there,

The term, "Nascent" refers to something that is forming...like an idea. The term, "Dynamics" can be used in much the same way an engineer uses it to classify the components, interrelationships of parts, and corresponding properties of a system.

My own business concept is a work-in-progress. My main themes are, "Accomplish what you set your mind to.", "Specialize in whatever it is you are doing", and "Excel in anything and everything." I mean to do this by… Continue

Centerplay

I have a passion for soccer and one of my goals for creating this social network was to build a community around this aspect of my modern business concept Nascent Dynamics ( ). I actually had intended to make this an exclusive community for my clients and friends, but ran out of networks! I knew I needed something for everybody as a crucial component of my business since most of my concepts are not for everybody. So I decided to create Area Light and have set about representing this personal int… Continue

Area Light Social Networking Experience

In another community I am in I decided to start blogging about my experiences using the site and interacting with members. I think the content would be worth the review of the site hosts- no matter how improbable that is. This follows along the lines of some of my business insights and theories I have been developing for my own private venture Nascent Dynamics ( ) Modern Business for the Modern Environment. It's worthwhile in that I am offering information about my experience as a customer that… Continue

Area Light Blog

The concept of this social network is fairly simple. Yet I also think just may be innovative enough to attract some interest. The key is going to be proactive networking. You don't need to expect much just sitting around with a site. You have to go out and make it happen. The Ning platform impresses me so much that I feel this is something I can really get behind- and feel comfortable recommending to anybody. In fact, I think it's so great, I can't wait to get out there and suggest it to everyon… Continue

Dearest Anthony, as usual, you are always an inspiration to me. It is a wonderful the LightBright idea for the Oodles. I will be sure to pass this on to my partner. We are looking for ways to expand and license the dolls into all types of merchandise. I believe their color scheme plays in their being more than unique...it does create totally new prospects for fun for children. That's the point behind the project...to give children a way to use their imaginations, rather than to do everything for them which makes them bored after the first exposure. Thank you for your interest. I appreciate you tremendously. Love, Paris

Hi Anthony !

Thanks for your comment. Of course this Art Network Directory greatly increased my experience of the networks and my appreciation of the behaviour of the web users.

The web practice is greatly improved by Twitter and by Firefox 3.5. I think that people do not need any more such features as lists of links and overloaded main pages for browsing the web.

I prefer deleting the network when it is still young, so that no discussion is needed with fan members. I know it was popular, but most of the members used it just like another art network and not as a directory.

I think also that web users must be trained to get the better usage of Twitter. Marvelous tool but also very elitist for reaching the best practice. No place for dumb people except when they discuss dumb subjects together !!! Exciting.

Hi Anthony !

You were not a member of my late ART NETWORK DIRECTORY but you may be interested to read my last edito. See berlow.

Pierre

The ART NETWORK DIRECTORY will be switched off on September 20 and will not be restarted.

My goal when I opened it some months ago was to enable the Ning users to access to the most current news from the other Ning networks. I analysed why this goal was not understood by members (the result of it being that the ART NETWORK DIRECTORY was going to become just another art network). Ning is not efficient for forwarding news.

Twitter is the perfect tool for that purpose. I opened a new Twitter page titled Art Network List at the following address :
http://twitter.com/NetworksOnNing

From this page I will only follow Twitter profiles that are fully dedicated to a Ning art network (three of them already identified).

Anybody is invited to follow, and so to access to the most active Ning art networks and to their latest news.

All up-to-date web users are on Twitter. Join !

It is my last Edito. Before leaving the ART NETWORK DIRECTORY forever I would like to thank Verocska for her offer of co-operation when she knew my decision to delete.

Dear Anthony, thank you so much for your encouragement and support and especially your friendship. You have been there with me for a long time and have helped me find my way through the maze of technology when I was alone and afraid. I shall never forget your kindness. I am sure that the Oodles will find there place, and I look forward to sharing them with children from many diverse backgrounds and circumstances. I will look up the site you mentioned, and keep in mind the police departments. I will keep you informed of my progress. Take care, Paris
