To get started with Twitter, I suggest going to twitter.com and taking a look at some of their simple introductory info. They used to have a super easy to follow intro video about how to use Twitter on their home page, but now they seem to be highlighting the aspect of search by discussion term. If you go to the HELP link at the bottom of the page, you will find the intro video. Also, if you check out their ABOUT link, you can find some other FAQ that might be useful. I think all you need is an e-mail and password to sign up. From there you can easily begin posting your updates. If you choose to follow some people, which may be people who start following you, or people you find by subject search, you will have a bulletin board showing all their updates together. If you click on your profile will see a list of your updates only. I think keeping it simple and jumping in is the best way to go.
Other features include page customization which basically allows you to choose or upload a background. There are also app centers which are a matter of exploring. I personally have decided to pass on the apps to keep mine simple. If you want to, they do have an embeddable widget which is basically as easy as 1,2,3, to set up. I have that added to my social network profile which feeds my Twitter updates through to my page. You will get e-mail updates whenever someone starts to follow you with an option to look into them and follow them. So, overall, I have been very impressed with how usable the service is and how they have made sure to make it easy enough for anyone interested.
I am sample following a few people, and the thing I notice is interesting statements accompanied by links to photos, videos, websites, and so on. Etiquette may include limiting your posts to a handful at the most per day depending on the organizing idea behind your Twitter strategy. There is so much information out there by people who have really gotten into using the app, check out www.sta.rtup.biz if you are a part of that. Also, here I am aware of Gerald and Pierre using Twitter. Hope that helps.
Interesting to learn you are no longer in your state charter. I thought the education work was a part of that. It sounds good to know the program is growing. I would be happy to discuss with you what your dreams are and see what i can do to help you achieve them. That happens to be an emerging principle of Area Light, a platform I think will help me to achieve my own dreams by supporting the success of others.
Best,
Anthony
Happy Birthday to you!
Hope all is going well with your projects. I can say after getting to know you only slightly, I would be interested in following you on Twitter if you did decide to do it.
Best,
Anthony
How are u doing?. Thanks for your comments and confirming my frienship with you.
My mother has been in coma since last week saturday till now and i am not in right frame of mind to come on to comment on ur wall. I reside in Queens Newyork, U.S.A, and my phone number is 516-669-1646 and my email address is bcobanya@yahoo.com. Once again, tanx for ur friendship.
I aim to be considerate to others' time, and only hope they return the courtesy! No worries. I like your definition of Area Light. Perhaps those colleagues will enjoy networking with me too.
I am so impressed by the scope of your work. It is a real pleasure to have you onsite. Try this link and see if that works better for you. http://ocw.mit.edu I just revisited and they have courses on everything from political science to urban planning. People all over the world go to this site for access to some world-class concepts and information. Cutting-edge...just what Ethiopia needs.
Best,
Anthony
Thank you for your generous offer of friendship. How are you today?
Please consider me your personal guide and assistant here on Area Light. If you have a question, or something you want to do, I may be able to help.

You have a fascinating profession. I personally network on several leadership networks. One on Linkedin, Leadership Think Tank, is where I spend much of my time. Another, the Leadership Hub, is very interesting. I recently had a discussion with a regional director struggling with the challenge of principle leadership styles, difficult employees (faculty), and the pressures of our No Child Left Behind Act. I imagine you are advising on Ethipia's national education standard. Quite interesting.
Consequently I am a big fan of MIT's Open Courseware. If you have not explored that, I highly recommend it. They essentially provide all their lecture notes and curriculum completely free and online for the benefit of society (you would have to be educated to keep up with what the actual students and professors are doing!). I have some ambition to challenge my way into the institution some day.
I am excited to learn of your involvement in Ethiopia. I don't think I know anyone from there yet. It is my pleasure to welcome so many Nigerians to Area Light, as networking by geographic location is one of the themes I want to promote. If you happen to be a fan of football (soccer), then you might enjoy the new video I am featuring on the main page.
Please do make yourself at home here, and feel free to explore, participate, and create on whatever interest you may have. Nothing is insignificant to me. I enjoy getting to know people and what they are into. I can generally find something constructive to offer on most any subject. Already I am very pleased to have you and Alvin here. I find a discussion thread more convenient for ongoing conversations than the comment wall. Let me invite you to join our group conversation Coffee With Alvin and even start your own.
Best,
Anthony
Today I noted you are a Nigerian professor teaching in Ethiopia. That sounds very interesting. i would like it very much if we could spend some time getting to know eachother. Might I ask what your field of expertise is, and what brought you to teaching abroad?
Best,
Anthony
